BS OHSAS 18001: 2007 provides an effective management systems framework, through the development of policies, procedures and technical risk control measures, based upon a sound understanding of the organisations occupational health and safety legal and other requirements, to prevent injury and ill health, ensure legal compliance and support continual improvement in occupational health and safety performance in your organisation.

System design, implementation and maintenance will involve:

  • Ensuring the organisation understands the OHSAS 18001: 2007 requirements and how adopting an occupational health and safety management system will benefit the organisation
  • Understanding and reviewing current business practice and operation, comparing activity and occupational health and safety legal compliance status with OHSAS 18001: 2007 requirements. Preparation of supporting gap analysis report
  • Design and implemenation of the occupational health and safety management system, including documented procedures, in line with OHSAS 18001: 2007 standard operational criteria and business practice
  • Support the organisation in the selection of a UKAS accredited certification body and the third party management system certification process
  • Support with occupational health and safety management system maintenance and review.
